1.5. Submitting Your Podcast to iTunes

With Podbean you can easily submit your podcast to iTunes to attract more listeners. To do this, you'll need to configure your iTunes related settings under menu "Settings > Feed/iTunes". The iTunes settings are as follows:

iTunes: FeedID - This is the ID you'll receive after you register your podcast service with the iTunes Music Store.

iTunes: Summary - This defaults to your Podbean podcast description found on your "Settings > General" page, but you can change it for your iTunes listing by editing this box.

iTunes: Podcast Logo - The default for this is the logo for your Podbean account, but you can change it here for iTunes by using the drop down box to choose another image.

iTunes: Author/Owner - The creator/owner of the podcast.

iTunes: Subtitle - Give your podcast a subtitle (optional)

iTunes: Keywords - The default setting is the channel tags you created when you uploaded your podcast, but you can edit them here.

iTunes: Category - iTunes allows you to select up to 3 categories.

iTunes: Email - The default for this settting is the email address associated with your Podbean account, but you can change it here if you want.

Once you finished those settings, your podcast is ready to be submitted to iTunes. To do this, open up iTunes and navigate to the iTunes store, and then to Podcasts. In the upper right corner you'll see a box called "Podcast Quick Links". Select "Submit a Podcast" and enter in your podcast's feed URL. This feed is found at the top of your Feed/iTunes page. Then just follow the directions in iTunes!
