Barbara Morgenstern (30.08.06 / Agam / 21:30)Barbara Morgenstern started in the so-called “Wohnzimmer-Szene”, a collectively organized line in the living room of Joe Tabu in 1996, and from there things developed slowly but rabidly. “The grass is always greener” is already her 4th solo album, accompanied by several releases with various bands and experimental projects, such as September Collective or her “Tesri” album with Robert Lippok. It’s perhaps not too fanciful to see The Grass Is Always Greener, her latest album, as a 21st-century electronic equivalent of Paul Simon’s Homeward Bound - timeless, universal pop music inspired by a very personal yearning - combining her love of Joni Mitchell with the sonic experimentalism of her friends like To Rococo, Pole and Thomas Fehlmann. visit Barbara’s official website for further information on her work.
