KG Babes are Nico Teen and Rockstar Wannabe. Zohar Shafir AKA Nico Teen is a very close associate of the label Ak Duck and through the years has integrated within the label by contributing and taking part in many of the albums and projects through her vocals that appear on many of the releases, musical input in others and significant contributions to Ak Duck’s compilation. Shafir’s personal musical story is much different in its sound and ambiance than the numerous projects she has contributed to. Her debut album ‘Workshop’ that came out this year is a lo-fi pop production unrestricted of any and all conventions. The tracks on the album range from strips of instrumental noise to sweet homely pop (just like this very track). Shafir produces music from that most intimate and intuitive place by using her voice, rickety synthesizers and improvised musical instruments.

Rockstar Wannabe is Ella Gilboa, a Jerusalem based musician and artist. Her debut song was released on Fact Records in 2002 and was followed by an EP released with Ak-Duck records during 2003. Produced by the Models, this electro-pop 4 track release was an outspoken tribute to the TV series – Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Today Rockstar Wannabe is working on releasing her full album as well as working and performing together with Nico Teen on their smashing duo live act under the name – K.G.Babes.
