Our focus will be the Six Perfections: generosity, kindness, patience, joy, stillness and wisdom. Immerse yourself in the ancient teachings of the Buddha: learn how and why to apply the perfections, the karmic effects of each one, how to make a karmic result more powerful, how to purify past negative karma that is ripening upon us as pain, problems and suffering and how to generate happiness!

Classes meet for 3 hours in the morning and the rest of the day is yours. Swim the turquoise waters of the Yucatan, relax on the 7 mile, pure white sand, empty beach, motor way out to the ocean’s coral reefs and snorkel, see sting rays, ancient tortoises and fish of exuberant variety, hike the Mayan ruins, read those books you keep meaning to read, nap without guilt, indulge in heavenly massage and spa treatments, sleep in beautiful, spare, thatched palapas with your own private bathroom, shop at Mixit for special native handiwork like embroidered fabrics, antique silver jewelry and local interpretations of the Virgin of Guadalupe, order the mouth-watering guacamole over and over again…or do nothing at all (indolence strongly encouraged).

Cost includes 3 delicious vegetarian meals a day, all yoga and meditation sessions, expert instruction and hands-on assists, access to all of Maya Tulum’s facilities and non-stop sun, sand and surf.
