The boom in commodity prices means the cost of food - especially anything based on wheat - has been rising fast. Commodities dealers will tell you the reason wholesale prices have risen by 2 or 3 times is because of increased demand from the Far East, and food being turned into biofuels. So what does that mean for American farmers? The BBC's Steve Evans has been finding out.
