Our first encore episode during the IndieHeart staff hiatus reaches all the way back to November of 2006 for some terrrifica music by Guy Michetti, Ady Ferguson, Thornton Creek, Tim Tibbitts, Adrienne Pierce, and the Peter Roy Project. We think the music speaks for itself. Then again, that never stopped us from prattling on a bit, did it? We haven't changed much in two years, it seems. One click subscription!

The show runs the acoustic gamut this time (as it often does) with a very traditional Russian Hurdy Gurdy tune performed by Andrey Vinogradov to the extremely contemporary (and really only marginally acoustic, we must admit) song from Australia's Ginja Roe. Melvern Taylor makes his second utterly fabulous appearance on the show this week, because we can't get enough of his music (who could, really?). Will Derryberry, hailing from California, leads off with his debut appearance on the show. We ... more

The TransAtlantic Acoustic Show's Grim and Horrible Holiday Special includes a lot of music that really isn't grim and horrible at all, so we seem to have failed in that mission. Instead, we bring you an obliquely holiday oriented broadcast of mostly acoustic music that at least contains allusions to the season. Artists include Tricks for Agnes from Belguim, Maria Daines from the UK, David Elias from San Francisco, Lucky Fokker and John Morgan from Ohio, and Fugli from Oklahoma. Full playlist ... more

What a show this week! Fantastic music from some from fantastic musicians (we'll the do the show with the really bad music from really bad musicians next year...or, okay, to be truthful...never.) UK artists involved with this week's broadcast include Julius Way and Chapman. US artists who have apparently been implicated include The Therapy Sisters, Blind Willies, Neil Benjamin, and Fran Synder. We had so much fun doing a one artist apotlight special a few weeks ago we decided to do it again! This week, we bring you six songs from San Francisco's David Elias, whom Sam freely admitted to me during the show is the only person for whom he would throw over his lovely and long suffering fiancee, Jen. That aside, Sam and I have both been major fans of David's music for several years now. We'll take any opportunity to grasp our audience roughly by the shoulders, shake them, and say... Hang ... more

A nice mix this week with some traditional, some contemporary and some contemporary traditional (is there such a thing?) We lead off from the UK with The Eiderdowns, take a trip to Canada to visit with the music of Carolyna Loveless, and finish up in the US. US artists include Chairsand Lawrence Ethan from California, Wil Maring from Illinois, and we wrap up with Fugli who is either from Oklahoma or Medieval England. You decide! This week, we spotlight the Chicago's exceptional singer/songwriter, Ross Crean, in celebration of his newly released Celtic CD, Blackwater. In addition to brilliantly performed traditional Gaelic sounds, we include several of Ross's contemporary compositions from his first CD, This Too Shall Pass. Sam and I both think that Ross Crean's music is just tops, and for those of you who have enjoyed his music throughout our shows, you should greatly enjoy hearing some of them again along with the bran... more

We also feature listener favorites Zia Hassan, Guy Michetti, Wry Dawn, and a fun little piece from A Paper Cup Band. We would also like to invite you to visit concertsinyourhome.com, a terrific Web site run by musician Fran Snyder where you can find highly professional performers who will play a concert in your home - we think this is an ultra cool idea for ac... more
