I swear my podcast is not about death! Its unfortunate that we are losing so many great people recently… This weeks podcast is dedicated to the amazing Patrick Swayze! This past weekend I lost a friend, role model and the biggest inspiration in my DJ career. DJ AM passed away on Friday afternoon at his apartment in New York City. Its not very often you can become friends with your idol. I remember when we first met, he came into the BPM Magazine office in LA. I kept pacing back in forth in front of their meeting, hoping my boss would stop me to make the introduction. When he finally did(thanks Matt), AM was instantly supportive and has been since that day.
