Host Janine Solomon interviews Jonathan Gale, Cross Disability Advocacy Coalition Coordinator at DLC, regarding accessible travel and recreational activities for persons with disabilities. They discuss travel websites, tips for traveling by air, train, and car, and what to expect when visiting new cities. Jonathan also provides information about accessible recreational activities in New England during the summer months and all year long.
Host Walter Noons sits down with Legal Intern Erin Riley from Northeastern University School of Law to discuss Transition Planning for students who receive special education services. They discuss the components of a good transition plan to help students with disabilities plan for life after special education and the reasons why transition planning benefits the entire community, not merely the student for whom the plan is written.
