1. Upload your media file. Podbean.com supports .3g2, .3gp, .mp3, .m4v, mp4, .flv, .mov, .avi, .mpg, .pdf, .doc, .ppt, .xls,
   1. Log into your podbean.com Dashboard.
   2. Click "Upload" Tab.
   3. Select "MediaManage" sub-Tab.
   4. Click "Upload" button to start upload your file. Please do not close this window during uploading, otherwise you will the uploading will be interrupted.

2. Publish your media file
1. In your podbean.com admin section, click "Publish" Tab.
2. Under the text block, there is a Podcasting section. Click "Add Podcast Media File" button. This will push out a podcasting manage section.
3. Select the file that you want to publish at this episode.
4. Select the file type and click "auto detect" button. This is an optional step. It helps podcatchers to recognize the length of your posted media file.

Podbean.com provides advanced blog podcast statistics in Flash graph. Easy to monitor your blog podcast growth trend, view each episode visit statistics, observe stats in different time periods, Unique IP stats, stats by areas.

Podbean.com is glad to announce a new built in social bookmarks mechanism now available for all podbean.com users. Now your blog podcast fans/subscribers can easily boost your blog podcast site by clicking one of these small icons:

This function is available for all users, Free or Paid. You can customize your social bookmarks by clicking “Layout” tab, then select “social bookmarks” tab after you log into your podbean.com account.

After you log into your podbean Dashboard. Click "Layout" Tab, select a theme which is marked with "header image customizable". A "header image" sub-tab will appear in "Layout". Click "header image" tab, you will get instructions on what size of the image should be and you can upload your own image. The header image will be changed to the new uploaded one. Sometimes, you need to "refresh" to see the new image appear in your "header image" manage page, but it will be shown right away in your podcast blog site.

Scheduling podcast is a mechanism that let a podcaster to publish podcasts at his/her own schedule. A podcaster can set a time to publish a new post instead of publish it right away after you click the "Publish" button. For example, you may create three posts at one time, but you want to publish them one per day in next three days. Then you can use scheduling podcast to do this.

When you have written your post, look down the right hand column and find the 'Post Timestamp' box. Open that box and you will see today's date and time. Check the 'Edit timestamp' box. Then enter the date and time that you want the podcast to be actually published.

The owner of the podbean podcast account can easily create/manage/delete author accounts in Podbean Manage Section. For example, if there is a group of people live in geography different areas to report news simultaneously from different areas. A group manager can easily create new author account, change password, email etc for each member of the group. Should one of the members leave the group, the group manager can delete this member account in podbean Manage Users section.

The Podbean premium-content is a mechanism that enables a podcaster to publish posts that only available to the certain users that are given access permissions. For example, a podcaster may decide that some premium contents are only available to paid subscribers . In your podbean account, you can create/manage/delete the premium users.

You've been chipmunked! Sometimes the Macromedia Flash player has a hard time dealing with files that are encoded at a rate that is not a multiple of 11.025 kHz. The result is what we call the chipmunk? effect. When you download the file, it will play normally on your computer or device. Note: To avoid being chipmunked, encode MP3 at 11.025 22.05 or 44.1 kHz.

Let's say, your blog is abc.podbean.com. You want to show one of your blog entrys/comments on the blog xyz.podbean.com. You can easily do a trackback with following 3 steps:
1: Go to xyz.podbean.com. Find the blog post which you want to trackback. Enter into this post. At the end of post you will see some words as: You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. Edit this entry. Right Click the "trackback" URL, then in IE, you do "copy shortcut" or in FireFox, you do "copy link location"
2: Go to abc.podbean.com . Either "Publish" a new post or go to "manage" section "Edit" a post. At the bottom of publish/edit page, there is "trackbacks" section. You paste the trackback URL that is copied from xyz.podbean.com's post to "Send trackbacks to:" .
3: Publish your post. The moment you hit the Publish button, the xyz.podbean.com will be notified. Check the blog post which you trackback at xyz.podbean.com. You should see your abc.podbean.com entry at its comment section.

Podbean service makes it possible to post audios, videos, photos hosted on Podbean.com to outside websites. This use is accepted. However, pages on other websites which embed audios, videos, photos that hosted on podbean.com must provide a link back to Podbean.com from each embeded content to its Post page on Podbean.com. We encourage you to use one of our banners to link back to Podbean.com.

Podbean supports multiple feeds in one pocast blog channel. You can have one feed per category, such as, a tech feed for all posts in tech category and a sports feed for all posts in sports category, etc. You can simply create a new category by clicking "Manage" -> "Categories" tabs in dashboard. Then you can do "Add New". You may also quickly add a new category by click "categories" at the side bar of "Publish" page.

If you create a category "sports", the RSS Feed URL of this category will be: http://yourusername.podbean.com/category/sports/feed/
All posts in the sports category will be listed in this feed.

First, open up Preferences in iTunes (Edit->Preferences), then click on the Advanced Tab -> Importing tab, then go to where it says "Import Using" and select the MP3 encoder.
