Big thank you to "G.I." and Shazam of the legendary R&B group H-Town for coming on my show for interview! "G.I." discussed how the group was originally called The Gents, signing to Luther Campbell's independent record label Luke Records, and their time on the 1993 Coca-Cola Summer Fest tour with SWV, Naughty By Nature, Silk, and LLCoolJ. He also got into recording Part Time Lover for the Above the Rim soundtrack and the collaboration record that was supposed to happen between H-Town and 2Pac, but didn't happen because 2Pac was killed two weeks before the recording session. H-Town's song that was supposed to feature 2Pac is Die for You off of their album Ladies Edition. Shazam and "G.I" talked about changing their Knockin da Boots sound of R&B to uplifting women on Ladies Edition and the impact that it had on their career. We ended the show going over their newest project Date Night, the video for their song Super Love, and reaction to their induction into the 2019 R&B Hall of Fame. Rest in Peace to the legendary Dino of H-Town. Stay tuned for their upcoming deluxe version of Date Night and upcoming performances on their current tour.
