Open Mike is a no-holds-barred talk show where you, the listener sets the agenda. Call the show and talk about anything and everything. Callers are not screened. Want to talk about politics, economics, history, social issues affecting the Seereer people of Senegal, Gambia or Mauritania? Whatever it is, call in and make yourself heard. You can also call in to request a shoutout or dedicate a song to family and friends, or to yourself. Why not? You deserve it. On this special broadcast, Tamsier Joof is joined by Laity Sene, Demba Sene, Mamadou Fall, Sukai Dahaba (commonly known by our regular listeners as X) and the Gambian journalist Saikou Suwareh Jabai to discuss inauguration of the new Gambian President Adama Barrow in Senegal; the political crises in The Gambia where the rebel and dictator Yayah Jammeh is still occupying State House; and the victor of the 1st December 2016 Presidential Elections is still in Senegal since ECOWAS Head and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf asked for his plane from Mali to Gambia be diverted to Senegal for his own safety. Towards the end of the show, Tamsier also played the report of Demba Sene from the Gambian Embassy in Senegal - where President Barrow was inaugurated, and Baba Ceesay's report earlier today on the Drive Time show.

Additional information : This audio was recorded for the SRC Collection, with permission to broadcast granted to Seereer Radio | The Voice of the Seereer Community (our 24 hour stream radio station). This was a life broadcast and some our presenters where in Senegal where the internet connection kept cutting off. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Additional information : With regret, the second portion of this show was not recorded. We thought it was being recorded but it was on pause. This was a mistake on our side to which we sincerely apologise for. Even worst, the second part was when we had a detailed interview with Sukai Dahaba (X) where she gave a detailed account regarding her traumer in the hands of Yayah Jammeh's enablers when she was captured as part of the 9th May 2016 demonstrators in The Gambia. In that portion she also mentioned some of Jammeh's enablers. We apologise for this error on our part and will endeavour our utmost to bring Sukai Dahaba on the show again for a more detailed interview. In the meantime, you can check out all our audio interviews with Sukai by scrolling through our categories and selecting Sukai's own category titled : "Sukai Dahaba (X) : Leader of the Kaalama Revolution". Also check out this interview she did with Fatu Camara of the Fatu Network published in JollofNews (see below) :
