Giants, this is episode #74! We’ve got a good friend of mine on the show. He and I live halfway across the world from each other. He’s based in New York, I’m in Sydney. We did this interview in LA. I’d describe him as an incredibly dedicated, super talented young gun. Currently aged 25, he’s already been a Creative for Gary Vaynerchuk, for Gary’s personal brand and numerous VaynerMedia projects. He worked side-by-side with Gary for over 3 years – specialising in videography, editing, art direction and design.
This year however, he received acceptance into the highly sought-after 2019 Adobe Creative Residency program. It’s an enormously rare opportunity. Allowing him to spend a year, full-time on a personal creative project, while sharing his experience and process with the entire global creative community.
We unpack his journey to date, which is a testament to the power of going all in on your passion. Including how he landed his dream job with Gary, his humble beginnings, and what he’s up to now.
Some of the topics we spoke about include:
So if you’re unsure where to take your career, or if you’re facing a creative block, then this is for you – as we uncover what it takes to go after your creative pursuits.
I present to you … the always moving, hyper-curious, creative storyteller … Tyler Babin!
