One of the most common complaints I hear from parents is that their kids are “ungrateful”. They say things like “he just doesn’t appreciate anything” and “she never says Thank You”. 

No one likes to be around a “Debbie Downer” or an ungrateful child or friend.

What is it that keeps us from recognizing something as GOOD and giving proper thanks for it? 

The thieves of gratitude are jealousy & comparison.
