Coillte proposes new woodland and walkways in Drumkeerin.”

Coillte officials have told this mornings meeting of the Manorhamilton MD of Leitrim County council that they are open to creating a new woodland area and walk ways in Drumkeerin.

The area in question consists of 19 hectares and is situated at Lavagh on the R280 the main road between Drumkeerin and Manorhamilton.

The coillte appeared at the meeting following a previous motion from councillor Mary Bohan.

Speaking after the presentation the FF councillor says she is hopeful that the park will established.
