It's July and in the Northern Hemisphere things are really starting to heat up! During the summer months, we like find a respite from the heat in the coolness of the woods.
There is so much peace and loads of science to discover in the woods! Our hikes are one of our favorite times to learn about science on the fly. In the woods we find new rocks, trees, flowers, and animals to learn about. We also get to observe the life cycles of ferns, mosses, and more as we visit the same trails at different points during the year.
This month, I encourage you to head out into the shade of an oak hammock and enjoy a science-filled walk in the woods!
