The largely chemotherapy-based approaches of the past are giving way to the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors, targeted agents, and antibody–drug conjugates in advanced disease, as well as bladder-sparing and perioperative approaches in early-stage disease settings. How can oncology nurses synthesize the diverse body of clinical evidence on approved and emerging strategies into the realities of real-world cancer care to successfully address the therapeutic and educational needs of patients across the disease continuum?
