The phrase "what goes around comes around" may cause some to think of karma - that our choices and circumstances define us and lead to certain positive or negative experiences. Of course, this can give us a sense of justice when someone appears to get what they deserve, but it can also leave a bitter taste too. In this sermon we assess this phrase through a biblical lens; looking at the story of the woman at the well in John 4, we see that it is Jesus who determines our future, not us; and we learn about the grace, freedom and future that is ours in Him.
