Jordyn McIntosh discusses her young acting career and The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry film adaptation | Young Entertainment Mag

YEM returns with an exclusive interview with Jordyn McIntosh, who plays Maya in The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. The film premiered on Hulu in 2022 and is based on the 2014 New York Times bestselling book of the same name by Gabrielle Zevin. It tells the story of bookstore owner A.J. Fikry who is struggling after the loss of his wife and financial struggles with his bookstore. He feels lost in this period of his life and hits rock bottom when one of his most prized possessions, a series of poems from Edgar Allen Poe, are stolen. Yet one day, a mysterious package appears at his bookstore and it takes him on a journey of learning more about life and love than he ever expected. We asked Jordyn about her similarities to her character Maya, and she answered by saying that they are both smart, funny, creative and enjoy reading.
