Episode 273 - The Modern Game

Jack and Geraint convene to talk about the Rory Stewart scandal, wherein the centrist ex-Tory and podcaster was the subject of antisemitism allegations after he issued the mildest possible defence of Jeremy Corbyn on constitutional grounds, and what this tells us about how consensus is constructed in British politics. Once that's out of the way, we move onto Americans' love of shooting people with their guns, and some of the latest broken Starmer pledges. We also wildly but - in hindsight - quite accurately speculate on the then-forthcoming Channel 4 Dispatches documentary on Russell Brand. NOTE: This is the third and final instalment of what can be loosely termed "The Dog Death Trilogy", with this episode literally being recorded on the night Jack's dog died.
