The Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted the Toronto Blue Jays in an instant classic last night, winning 6-5 in 18 innings to take a 2-1 lead in the 2025 World Series. The marathon matchup tied the record for the longest game by innings in World Series history and lasted six hours and 39 minutes, making it the second-longest by duration. Freddie Freeman delivered the decisive moment, launching a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th inning off Blue Jays reliever Brendon Little. Shohei Ohtani put on a historic performance, reaching base nine times, a postseason record, while hitting two home runs, two doubles and drawing five walks, four of them intentional.

Los Angeles used 10 pitchers in total, with rookie reliever Will Klein throwing four shutout innings to earn the win.
