The scripture reading for Sunday, July 14, was Luke 11:1-13. Rev. Laura Mayo gave the proclamation.
"The prayer is the beginning, action is what follows. Ask, yes. Then search, find, knock, open, receive, give. The words are not enough. Jesus didn’t just pray “your kingdom come on earth,” he lived it. He brought the kingdom of God to earth with each shared meal, each story, each act of mercy. He prayed, and taught, and lived."
