Verhofstadt warns Brexit extension puts EU unity “at risk”

The European Parliament’s chief Brexit co.ordinator says EU unity is at risk because of the six month Brexit extension that was approved last week.

Guy Verhofstadt was speaking in the European Parliament this morning.

He told MEPs he fears the extension will import what he called the “Brexit mess” into the EU and that it will poison the upcoming European elections.
