EP 54 Discussing Islam

In today’s episode we’re taking a thoughtful look at Islam—its origins, its core beliefs and practices, and some of the key historical and textual claims often raised in conversation between Muslims and Christians.

This is not an episode of caricatures or quick takes. Our goal is understanding: What do Muslims mean by “submission”? What are the Five Pillars and the six articles of faith? How did the Qur’an come to be compiled? By the end, you’ll have a stronger grasp of the basic contours of Islamic belief and history, plus a clearer sense of why certain claims—like the Qur’an’s view of Jesus’ crucifixion—matter so much in interfaith dialogue.
