Your team members want to know what success looks like and when faced with obstacles to achieving success, want to know that you, as their leader, is there to support and coach them through it. This is way ongoing 'coaching' on a weekly basis is so effective and can be more impactful than the annual 'performance review'. The reality is that by offering frequent coaching, the performance review will shine on a light on the team member's successes that you've coached them to accomplish!
