The Important Piece to Finding Peace

All of us have a story to tell. How you tell your story is through content. Content can be delivered in the written word, through audio (like this) podcast, and my favorite, video.

I’m going to be highlighting the influencers who inspired me to tell my story through content on LinkedIn.To help promote my book, You Got It; Now Go Get It: Realizing Just How High You Can Fly being released on Amazon. Today's spotlight is Sam Lister.

When I first saw Sam's video on LinkedIn, I thought to myself, “how old is this guy?” Because of his youth, I paid attention, then when I heard him question the importance or value of college, I was hooked on his content.

Like Shay, who got her start in Milwaukee, was also from Milwaukee. It was then I began to realize there was some serious talent coming out of this city.

I interviewed Sam in May of 2019 on the Always Go Big Interview Podcast and in that interview, he shared his decision to follow his passions rather than going to college or getting a job. One of his influencers, like others from Milwaukee, take a lot of their principals from Gary Vaynerchuck who has inspired millions by speaking life into them.

One of the big moments for me in my concept happened after learning more about the idea of Self-Mastery from Purdeep Sangha and finding your authentic self through Sam Lister. The first section in my book is all about finding your authentic self. Part of my talk to students who are Generation Z is asking them, “do you know who you are?” Knowing who you are is not only an important piece to finding peace, it’s the first piece.
