Strength for the Journey

When Elijah fled into the wilderness after his victory over the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 19), he was exhausted—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. He felt alone and ready to give up. But God met him with rest, food, and a fresh word for the road ahead. Elijah’s story reminds us that the journey of faith is not a sprint; it’s a lifelong walk that requires God’s strength at every stage.

Isaiah 40:31 paints a picture of what happens when we put our hope in God: our strength is renewed. Sometimes we soar—experiencing victories and breakthroughs. Other times we run—pushing forward with determination. And sometimes we simply walk—steady and faithful in the ordinary days. But in every season, it is His power that keeps us moving forward.

No matter how weary we feel, God promises to give us the strength we need, when we need it.
