The Intellivision was marketed as an a gateway into computing in the home. It had a keyboard that was delayed for price reasons that was supposed to ship with the console itself. The console was met with a luke-warm reception, and it looked like it would be doomed to failure. In part 2 we will see how the Intellivision eventually became a beloved classic console only to be taken out by the great video game crash.
