Albert Perry is waiting for his wife, Elspeth, at Luigi's Restaurant. Luigi asks "Mr. Perry, you ordered dinner now? Albert says "No, not yet, Luigi. I'm still waiting for my wife. She's late for some reason". Luigi says "Yes, I can see. You wait for two hours and look what you do to the table cloth, Mr. Perry, writing all over it like that. The laundry, she complain, is hard to get out" Albert says "I'm sorry, Luigi. Bring me a glass of Chianti, will you?" He says "Yes, Mr. Perry". Elspeth arrives and says "Oh, Albert, I'm sorry I'm late. My poor star, darling. I've kept you waiting. Have you ordered yet?" Albert says "Just a glass of wine". Elspeth says "One glass? Luigi, bring a whole bottle. We're celebrating, darling". Albert asks "Celebrating what?" Elspeth says "I got the part. What do you think of that, my sweet?" Albert says "Sure, that's great news, but why did it take this long?" Elspeth says "Well, you know how Lee Hamill likes to talk". Luigi says "The Chianti, Mr. Perry". Elspeth says "Chianti? It should be champagne". Albert says "You know as well as I do, we can't even afford this". She says "Oh, but we can. I'll be getting five hundred dollars a week. Think of that. Oh, darling, I didn't tell you. I think there's a part for you, the part of Tony. He's just your type. When I see Lee tomorrow, I'll talk to him about it". Albert says "No, save your breath. I saw him last week. She says "You did? You didn't tell me". He says "Lee said there was nothing for me in the play. Nothing". She says "Oh, but that was last week, darling. Now he may feel different, especially if I ask him. I'll turn on the fatal charm". He says "Why, you'll do nothing of the kind, not with that wolf".
