School Dazed: Help For Moms and Dads of School-Aged Kids
Kids & Family:Education for Kids
This year my husband and I have been learning to advocate for our children to receive the services they need at school. Both boys require services and accommodations and it has been a challenge figuring out how to get them the help they need to be academically successful. More and more these days families find themselves in the same position. In this episode we explore the topic with Licensed Behavioral Therapist, Rondi Allen and Suzanne Scott who heads the Special Education department at a high school in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Both have extensive knowledge and experience working with children who have various challenges from anxiety and depression, ADHD, to Autism, and require assistance at school.
