Morning Report 3 Mar 22: ASX set for a positive start as Wall St posted solid gains

US sharemarkets posted solid gains on Wednesday. The Financials sector rose 2.6% after Fed chair Powell signalled a rate hike at the next policy meeting. The Dow Jones index was up by 596 points or 1.8%. The S&P 500 index rose by 1.9% and the Nasdaq rose by 220 points or 1.6%.
