US Close 17 Nov 17: NASDAQ hit record high supported by strong results and stimulus

 US sharemarkets rebounded after US lawmakers in the House of Representatives passed the Trump Administration's tax reform bill on Thursday. Shares in Wal-Mart rose by 10.9% after reporting strong store sales. Cisco shares rose by 5.2% after the company's profit forecast beat expectations. At the close of trade the Dow Jones was up by 187 points or 0.8%. The S&P 500 was up by 0.8% and the Nasdaq increased by 87 points or 1.3% to a fresh record high
