Self-mothering is the practice of providing yourself with the love, care and support you may not have received nor received as you needed it - whether as a child, or at any earlier time in your development.

It involves nurturing your "inner child", addressing unmet emotional and physical needs and it includes fostering a deep sense of self-love and acceptance. 💗

Self-mothering is a construct that impacts all of us - for it is about learning how to give to ourselves now in the present whatever we need and also being able to know what our needs are - and what we needed from our mother that for any number of reasons, we did not receive.

~
