Like its close cousin, the Federal Reserve Note (FRN), it's a paper fiat currency backed by nothing of value other than a promise to confiscate wealth from the Plebes in order to pay the treasuries (T-notes). With non-stop printing of more and more fiat currency, rising interest rates, fractional banking, and bad loans, is it any wonder banks are dropping like dominos? Even people who normally don't pay attention are starting to realize the current monetary system appears to be imploding on itself.
