Warhammer 40K - Are the Imperium the Good Guys?

Hello, and welcome to episode 77 of Expertise is Overrated, where two nerds with an inflated sense of their own intelligence take the time to answer questions no one was asking.

We've come to it at last, the great question of our... I mean the future's... time. Is the Imperium, led by the God-Emperor actually a good thing? Or are they just space fascists out to destroy everything non-human and ruin most human lives in so doing anyway? Is it all for the greater good? Is it all bad? Let us know what you think.
