037 - Aaron Niequist - New Liturgies, Formation & a Retreat

Aaron Niequist is a liturgist, writer and pastor currently living in NYC. Having led worship at Mars Hill, and Willow Creek, Aaron has created A New Liturgy, written The Eternal Current, and leads the Pastors, Priests and Guides Retreat.

 

Aaron and I talk about his movement from being an evangelical megachurch worship leader to becoming more oriented towards liturgy and practice. We talk about bringing about change in churches, and worship services in particular. Building a worship service with an eye towards a formative journey. Liturgy as building a muscle of spiritual development. And moving to a place where we transcend and include our faith heritage.
