I carfully think through every opinion I have. I don't watch the news, I don't read the paper. If an issue is presented, I do research and formulate my own opinion through the process of rationalization. If I'm wrong and confronted with opposing information, I will gladly recant and take into consideration the new information. What I don't do is strive to hurt people's feelings. The fact that some people take offense while others agree is proof that what is deemed "offensive" is entirely subjective and as the meme says, "It is not my responsibility to manage the emotions of others."
