The Marketing Trail Guide Podcast
Business:Marketing
This is Episode 12, “Can Restaurants Survive a Pandemic”, and my guest is Jorge Pacheco. Originally from Colombia, Jorge is now the owner of Kulture Konnect, a marketing design studio that focuses largely on clients in the restaurant industry.
His newest venture, Immerse, connects students in Asia with American English teachers through virtual reality. They are gearing up for a Series A round. We discuss language learning and VR technology, and what is really interesting is his COVID-induced pivot and our discussion about how even established companies need to behave like a startup right now.
We talk about the impact of COVID-19 on him and his clients, the loss of purpose that came for many businesses during the pandemic, and the challenges of reinventing or reimagining a company.
