US Close 29 Jun 16: European and US markets lifted as Brexit market volatility subsides

US sharemarkets recouped some of the recent losses on Tuesday, as investors went searching for cheaply valued assets. The rally was supported by expectations of further central bank stimulus. Nine of the 10 S&P sectors were higher, with the S&P energy sector leading the gains, up 2.6%. The Dow Jones index rose by almost 270 points or 1.6%. The S&P 500 index rose 1.8% while the Nasdaq gained 97 points or 2.1%.
