Edie Melson has walked through the empty nest season several times, each time relying on her faith to see her through. From sending her son off to war at 18 to supporting another son’s global mountain-climbing trek, Edie’s life experiences have taught her about God’s unwavering faithfulness. As an author, speaker, and creative, Edie uses the lessons God has shown her to empower others. Through her books, retreats, and workshops, Edie encourages people to connect with God, often using creativity to strengthen that bond. She and her husband, Kirk, have been married for over 42 years, have three grown sons and three grandchildren, and live in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
