Todays interview is with Mr. Paul Jaminet. He is the author of the best-selling book called “The Perfect Health Diet”
He also runs a heath retreat simply called “The Perfect Health Retreat”
Paul Jaminet is a scientist (Ph.D. in physics, University of California at Berkeley, 1992; Astrophysicist, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, 1992-1996), Paul’s experience overcoming a chronic illness has been key to his views of aging and disease.
Paul’s wife, Shou-Ching, is a molecular biologist and cancer researcher at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Director of BIDMC’s Multi-Gene Transcriptional Profiling Core. Paul and Shou-Ching have been investigating the influence of diet upon health. They adopted a low-carb diet in 2005, and improved his health then adopted more of a Paleo approach. His diet is based on basic Paleo principals of healthy whole food with little or no processing, large amounts of vegetables and meat and seafood that are raised well.
Keep in mind that Paul is focussed on making people healthy, not working with MMA athletes to hack the most out of the system of the athlete but what I am trying to do with these types of interviews is to bring you information on how to create the most healthy lifestyle in order to keep you healthy and prolong your fighting career.
Anyways, as always, this guest is way smarter than me so I edited out most of my uhms and ahs to make myself sound a little smarter but he lays down some great info. I would recommend for anyone to pick up his book, it’s the best twenty bucks you will spend on your diet knowledge.
So sit back, grab a snack and enjoy!
