The Vanishing (1988): Schrödinger’s Girlfriend

The Vanishing is a 1988 Dutch/French psychological thriller film co-written and directed by George Sluizer and based on Tim Krabbe’s novel The Golden Egg. The film recounts a man's obsessive years-long search for his girlfriend after she mysteriously disappears from a rest area in the French countryside. The film’s score was composed by Henny Vrienten.
