Why you should avoid Self-build and Cheap Web Designers

This week I was advising a friend on this matter and they asked about building a site or getting their site changed over. The problem they are facing is that there are a number of options but was unsure which way to go: Should he build on a template system such as Wix or Squarespace for example – answer NO. These sites are ok but he (and most likely like you) is not a designer or marketeer, As I pointed out you never get a second chance to make a first impression and sites such as these are causing SMEs more damage than good. He also pointed out that there are people offering to build sites for as little as R500 or £25. Again as I said, do you really think you will get a good site that is built correctly, with images that have the appropriate copyrights to them within the site? The answer is of course NO! So why it may seem like a great idea to save money by opting for the cheaper option, would you expect people to do the same with your business?
