Its never too late to begin change.
Connect with a why. Why do you wish to change your behaviors?
Its a state of active participation rather than passive victim mentality. The I am a result of the outer world rather than I create my world and choose how I interact with it.
The what and how will come, but you need a solid strong reason for why you want to make change in the first place.
Common reasons may include:
- Something isn’t working
- you aren’t feeling your best
- you aren’t at your ideal body weight
- you crave a deeper sense of connection
Why do you want to shift what ever it is?
Your why statement is often underestimated and I believe it to be the most important part of change. It is your anchor for alignment, guiding every choice in the direction of your desired change.
When you have your strong grounded why, the reason behind your change, then decide a small action to take right now. You might think that you want to make a big change, great go for it, just know that small steps over time create gain momentum and contribute to big changes.
Over time small actions create big results. A huge freight ship can’t just make a quick turn, it takes time to redirect and align to a desired destination.
Understand the reason behind your why. Is it for the good of others? Or only for the good of myself, do I wan to get in shape because I will look better at the beach, or because I will have the ability to play, have fun and play with grandkids, age without the fast degradation of the body.
Does you changing your behaviors affect those around you?
Will your new behaviors and habits uplift those around you?
These are great questions because it gives you a deeper purpose behind the actions you take.
If you know what you want to change invite some curiosity about why. Do you know why?
What does your gut feeling tell you?
The gut feeling is our sense of intuition coming through and has the ability to guide us that is if you choose to listen and trust.
Be sure your why is a deep enough reason to stay anchored in.
Not a why that will change with your emotions or the phases of the moon.
Then chose the smallest action step. Tomorrow come back to your why and align another action. Remember, the pyramids weren’t built in a day, you dont have to change in a day, just know that coming back to your why will help the process and be your anchor for realigning each day.
