UK mustn’t be treated like “second category” EU state – Tusk

The UK must not be treated like a “second category member state” if it contests EU elections and returns MEPs to the European Parliament.

That’s what the President of the European Council Donald Tusk told MEPs this morning.

Mr Tusk urged the European politicians to remain patient now that the UK has been granted a six-month Brexit extension.
