Trained in Basel/Scholl and celebrated as a countertenor, conductor, and Artistic Director, Barney has left an indelible mark on the world of music. His latest solo album, 'Bach', released in February 2023, is a testament to his multifaceted skillset. While known for his role with VOCES8, conducting orchestras and choirs worldwide, and teaching, Barney's lockdown experience ignited his solo career.

'Bach' brings together JS Bach's finest compositions for the alto voice, accompanied by a stellar ensemble of the UK's leading Baroque chamber musicians, under the guidance of Bojan Čičić. The album traces a thematic arc from Candlemas to the Resurrection, capturing the timeless beauty of Bach's compositions.
