While markets are localized, we are seeing the return of things not seen since the housing crash nearly 2 decades ago and in some cases, the moves are even more desperate.
Firstly, according to Goldman, Adjustable Rate Mortgages have climbed to 41% of total held by US banks. This surpasses the global financial crisis record.
This is happening as Ninja Loans return, meaning that banks are basically giving mortgages away without any proof of the party's income. This is a desperation move we've seen before.
With Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Colateralized Debt Obligations (CDO), not to mention the often 1% cash to deposit ratios at banks and the massive housing bubbles in major cities which are starting to falter, it's pretty obvious we are witnessing the signs of the imminent collapse of the housing market.
As they say, "you will own nothing," it is clear that private property is being pushed off the table in the move towards a truly digital system. In that, one will rent only and submit to a digital ID system, an agenda promoted under the guise of saving people from homelessness in the face of crisis.
Be aware and be forthright in insuring your wealth against this.
