Ep: 004 - Gut microbiome health is a hot topic these days, but that hasn't always been the case. It wasn't until 2001 that scientist learned and started studying the role our gut bacteria plays. While it is still a growing field, we do know that it effects many areas of our health, including our immunity, depression, and weight. The gut even communicates with our brains in what is called the gut-brain axis. On this episode of the podcast we explore what ailments can arise from an imbalanced gut microbiome, factors that contribute to imbalances, and ways to help fix our microbiomes to ensure we live long and healthy lives.
