Economic Insights 2 Apr 19: AUD drops as RBA hints at future rate cut

The Reserve Bank has decided to leave interest rates unchanged at 1.5% and made a subtle change to its wording hinting it may move to cut rates in future. “The Board will continue to monitor developments and set monetary policy to support sustainable growth in the economy and achieve the inflation target over time.”
