Over his 28-year career, Sgt. Major Pinion has served in a host of leadership positions. His firsthand experiences bring to life the stories of courage, sacrifices and resilience of the soldiers he served with. Now a Department of the Army Civilian in Virginia, he continues his commitment to service but from a different perspective.

One of the highlights includes an emotional recounting of an IED explosion that claimed the lives of his fellow soldiers, Staff Sergeant Clint Story and Sergeant Bradley Best.
