Kingdom Manifesto #8: Blessed are the Persecuted

What should we expect from the world when we embrace the beatitudes?

We’ve grown through Jesus’ teaching on the Beatitudes.

How will those around us respond to us becoming poor in spirit, being merciful and hungering for righteousness?

It might surprise us to hear that the world can be hostile towards Jesus and his followers, but that’s what Jesus emphasizes in the last beatitude. But if we’re willing to embrace his teaching on persecution, we find it is filled with hope.
